2006 paid $1250 for a "lifetime" membership with $39/year "never increasing" fees that are now, this year, 2015, $149/year. I was lied to just like everyone else. I intend to pay the $149 as if I wait too long the contract says it can cancel my "lifetime membership" if I don't pay my "yearly fee". But I will call my credit card company and dispute this as a $110 overcharge and see what happens. I hope the lawsuit is in the works – I really do. Am I rich? Yes. Do I like 24 Hour Fitness in general? Yes. Do I need the money? No. Do I appreciate being lied to and being a victim of dishonest business practices? Hell no!
