Beware! I have been using Avast for several years. Prompted by AvastI paid for a year's renewal subscription a month before it was due. On the date it should have started I got a bold Avast message that I was not covered. Having forgotten about the renewal a month earlier I paid for a year. Checking my credit card account later I found an unattributed payment which turned out to be the original renewal. I sent all details to Avast customer services to ask for a refund as there had been a double payment. With no acknowledgement I sent a follow-up. I have heard nothing. The second payment was also unattributed but to a different agency. Was this agency bogus? CHQSWas the warning a scam? Are Avast's messages uncoordinated? If they can't protect/organise their own business can they protect mine? John Drake.
