I originally transferred two prescriptions from Walgreens to the CVS store at 110 West North Avenue because I believed better service would be offered there. All the other pharmacy technician staff were very polite, professional, and provided excellent customer service. However, when I went to pick up my prescriptions on Friday, November 20th, I experienced horrible customer service on the part of CVS's pharmacist. He was very rude and initially refused to contact my insurance company Blue Cross and Blue Shield to verify my eligibility. He was indifferent to my concerns and implied I was wasting his time, saying that I could "save us a phone call" by calling myself. I have no problem calling my insurance. That is not the issue. The issue is the way the pharmacist relayed this information to me. He was unprofessional, rude, and does not know how to provide good customer service. I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere after such a horrible experience. I am certain I am not the only one who was on the receiving end of his crass demeanor and does not reflect well on the CVS at this location.
