My husband and I flew Fiji Airways to Vanuatu. Shortly after booking the flight I realized I made a mistake on the return date. I called immediately and was told there would be no charge due to my quick attention. I received numerous confirmations over the course of 7 months. We flew from LAX to Vanuatu with no problems or any mention of an outstanding balance. When we got to the airport in Port Vila we were told they had cancelled our flight to Fiji due to non payment of our change in itinerary 7 months prior. Suspiciously though, we were still on the flight from Fiji to LAX. We were told unless we paid full fare, 425.00 each we would not make our connecting flight. We were forced to pay to leave the country. As of today, December 27, 2016 we still are fighting to be reimbursed. I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission and E Consumer.gov in hopes of reaching a settlement.
