I went with Hardie Plank because I was told it has a 50-year transferable warranty… Well… After 10 years it started to fall apart. Literally break into small pieces and fall off. I called Allied Siding & Windows, Tomball, TX, the official installer. He refused to honor the warranty, even though they installed it. They made every excuse in there was to make. It has been seven months and still excuses. I asked for the Hardie Plank Rep to come out… No luck. I would consider another product.
