I bought a sofa bed from Jennifer Convertibles 'JC' on March 20th, 2013.in October of 2015, I noticed the leather on the head cushion is cracking & peeling. It's only about 21/2 years old. I did a Google search and found others who had the same problem. I asked JC for refund, and they said refused. So it appears we're headed to small claims court. A Consumer Affairs attorney had this to say to another customer with the same problem: "Depending on the state, if you purchased the piece of furniture in a brand new condition, you may have a cause of action under the applicable code section of your state for breach of express contract and breach of contract as a new item may carry an assumed fitness for a particular purpose."
