We compared different brands of dishwashers and kitchenAid had one of the best reviews. As soon as we installed and started it we got a flood in the kitchen. It turned out that the dishwasher had a defective part. It took 2 weeks for a technician crew to arrive and change the part. Right after the service call took place we were called to purchase an extended warranty. We didn't think it was necessary – after all a dishwasher that would break after a year of usage is really not a good one. Guess what? Our dishwasher broke again and this time it has been 1.5 year since we purchased it so we have no guarantee. We will not buy this brand again. It's better to take a chance with a cheaper brand!
