Two year old couch rear back support is made from 3/4 x 2 inch OSB. It was held in with two staples at both ends. It broke in the center and all the staples broke off. After hearing of an eighty dollar labor charge to correct this I fixed it with a 2 x 3, four screws and gorilla glue. I don't feel this was a materials problem but one of extremely poor engineering. Putting a bending load on OSB shows an inept type of design knowledge.
