It was odd that at a McDonald's food store on 23 Ave., Edmonton everyone in the kitchen / food prep area was wearing a hat (I guess in lieu of a hairnet) except the manager that was just as involved in the food prep as the rest of the staff and in fact more than most that he didn't have to wear any hair food protection, his hair flying around as it was quite long. I asked him, "Where is your hat?" To which he replied, "Managers don't have to wear one." Is that safe?
