I am a member of Planet Fitness in Edgewood, Pa. I'm cancelling my membership for many reasons; the people who work there have no basic social skills let alone acumen for customer service which requires another whole level of sophistication; the gym is not a clean place to work out; things are constantly breaking there and not being fixed in a timely manner and problems with the 30 minute workout room have been continuous since I joined… They don't control how they are used and so every time I'm there I end up not being able to do all the exercises… Someone always gets on one machine and stays on it for more than one cycle. And sometimes they'll just use one as a place to sit and use their cell phones… About 6 weeks ago, all the TVs that showed the one channel I like to watch stopped working… All of them lost sound… When I talked to the manager about it she gave me the dumbest story about why they were down and for them not being fixed after 5 weeks. She talked to me like I wasn't worth the time it took her to talk to me… It was an awful experience. She acted as though we were adversaries… I don't know how she got this job since she isn't a very effective manager… Planet Fitness is the most badly managed of any business that I've ever witnessed… I don't see how they're going to stay in business…
