I booked a hotel on Priceline.com. I had until 6pm to cancel it. I called the hotel at 3:10pm to cancel the reservation and they told me to go through Priceline, as that's who I had booked through. I went to my receipt, followed the link and cancelled the hotel. I had a follow up screen on my phone that said the reservation had been cancelled. I went on to book another hotel (not with Priceline) that was closer to the event I was in San Francisco for.

The next day I received a phone call from Booking.com telling me they had received an email from Priceline to cancel my reservation. They went on to say that Priceline should have called them as I had contacted them within the appropriate time frame and that I should receive a refund but I would need to go through Priceline. Priceline referred me back to Booking.com – their voicemail automatically re-routes the call. I ended up going through Booking.com and they finally, after 3 weeks, told me Priceline said I cancelled too late which is absolutely false. The reservation specifically states I have until 6pm LOCAL TIME and the cancellation note says I cancelled at 6:05 Eastern Time. Hilton charged my card, and I have not been able to get a refund from Priceline, Hilton or Booking.com
