Do not use this company, unless you want to spend a lot of time making phone calls, disputing your claims, etc. I was told I exceeded the $415.00 primary allowance for my cat's condition. Meanwhile, I noticed there was $165 available for the secondary allowance on the plan benefit schedule. They would not pay for additional medication that was required to continue with my cat's treatment. They mislead consumers. VPI has become a rip-off since joining Nationwide. They wanted me to have my vet call them and formally dispute the claim on my behalf. When I told them I was considering canceling the policy, they could not tell me how much I would be reimbursed. I would have to cancel the policy first and wait to see how much, if anything, they mail back to me.
